Inspired by Olympe de Gouges (1748–1793), French playwright and activist. She wrote the “Declaration of the Rights of Woman and of the Female Citizen” during the Revolution, demanding equality for women. For her fearless words she was executed by guillotine, but her legacy endures as a symbol of justice and truth.
